For the first 38 years of my life I believed in the existence of God but God was distant and I didn't know how to reach him. Then someone I met told me how I could  know God  and have a personal relationship with him. She said because God was a Spirit the way to know him was by his spirit. The Bible said I needed to be baptised in water. So I was baptised  by full immersion and when I asked God for his Holy Spirit I knew I had received this Holy Spirit because it was evidenced by the sign of speaking in tongues – a new language that God gives you to pray to him in. This was a turning point in my life and it was as if a great weight was lifted from my life. God became real and the bible became relevant.  That was a over 20 years ago and God has done many wonderful things in my life and helped me in many ways. He healed me of asthma , provided for me and my family and through his bible has given me a direction on how to live my life.

Before coming along to a Revival Fellowship meeting, at the age of twelve my father decided that he was an atheist, so I became an atheist too. Once I was married we decided to raise our boys Catholic. When my boys were aged 11 and 13, I had an operation which left me unable to walk properly due to nerve damage. Haemorrhaging was another side effect and the doctor also thought I might have cervical cancer. Many tests were done to try to remedy the problems but nothing wor...ked until I was told about a coffee morning run by the Revival Fellowship. My husband and I attended and were amazed at the friendliness of the people, so much so, that we thought it was a ploy to get us out of the house to rob our belongings.

Thankfully that was not the case – we suspected that these people had something that we didn’t have and we wanted to find out more.On Sunday 7th August, 1994, we attended a church meeting where I was given a full immersion baptism. I felt as though heavy bricks were taken off my shoulders and I then felt as light as a feather. Any burdens that I may have had were all gone. The next morning I awoke feeling fantastic. Walking around the bed, I was in awe of the feeling of “no pain”. I also had no haemorrhaging. This was a miracle. When I went outside to hang washing on the line, I decided to pray for the Holy Spirit as I did at the meeting and to my surprise, as soon as I started to say “Hallelujah” which means “Praise the Lord”, I started to speak in a language that I had never learnt.Ringing my doctor, I explained that I was sure that I was healed of everything he had diagnosed me with. Within the next week, he had me into the specialist’s office to verify whether I was healed or not – and to his surprise I had no symptoms any more. Another miracle! Two years later, I was diagnosed with bowel cancer. After having elders from church pray over me at a healing rally, I was completely healed. Another miracle!
